Front Row At the Revolution

I spent the past weekend as a participant in the annual Ron Paul Institute conference that takes place in the Washington area, in northern Virginia. This year the theme was “Front Row at the Revolution” and the circa 500 attendees that filled the Hilton Hotel ballroom certainly got what the gathering’s theme sought to deliver. The outstanding list of speakers included Congressman Thomas Massie, Dennis Kucinich, Jim Webb, Josh Paul, Michael Vlahos, Max Blumenthal and Joe Kent. Tucker Carlson also addressed the gathering via video link. Given the disastrous state of our former Republic on this Labor Day weekend, the speakers were inspired to confront the enemy head on, which they did, hoping to create momentum for a real revolution built around the midterm elections coming up in November. Speaking personally, I have never seen such enthusiasm in what must be defined as a political gathering, with the audience standing on the feet, applauding and screaming their agreement with what was being said at the podium.
It is my understanding that the video recordings of the speeches, each of which ran for about half an hour, will be up and available on the Ron Paul Institute Site in a couple of days. I strongly recommend that Unz readers visit the Paul site and begin their own perusal of the recordings. The speakers were and are all extremely well informed on what is ailing our country and they pulled no punches in how they presented their informed analysis. Quite simply, they see a government and a nation that has been subjugated and occupied by a foreign power, to include highly visible moves that have increased that control and threaten to worsen the second-class status of the actual citizens of our once-upon-a-time constitutional republic. Once subjugated, our country has engaged in a series of wars where there was no imminent threat from anyone, has become close to bankrupting itself, and has stripped it people of their fundamental liberties.
That aggressor nation, which has increased its ability to dictate US foreign policy while simultaneously diminishing the free speech of citizens who try to object to what is occurring, is, of course, Israel, which, acting in sync with its powerful domestic lobby, has invaded and corrupted American institutions beyond all belief. The vision of tiny Israel’s nearly unimaginable incremental domination of the superpower United States most particularly over the past 25 years has even acquired a sobriquet, which is “The tail that wags the dog!”
As a result, the Ron Paul Conference was a bid by the American people to restore their constitution and republic, with particularly emphasis on the Bill of Rights, which have been trampled on by President Donald Trump and Congress in a fashion never before seen. Several speakers quoted the wisdom of America’s first president George Washington, who advised against foreign entanglements in his Farewell Address to the nation in 1796. What he said and how he said it then are as important regarding both foreign nations and their lobbies today as they were 230 years ago. He said “Observe good faith and justice toward all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all. … In the execution of such a plan nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations and passionate attachments for others should be excluded, and that in place of them just and amicable feelings toward all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest. Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to offer insult and injury, to lay hold of slight causes of umbrage, and to be haughty and intractable when accidental or trifling occasions of dispute occur.
“So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill will, and a disposition to retaliate in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld; and it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country without odium, sometimes even with popularity, gilding with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.
“Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy, to be useful, must be impartial, else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it. Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests.”
The speakers at the Ron Paul event all hoped to ignite a fire that would inspire Americans to exercise one of the few rights they still have retained, though it too is being challenged by the two major parties to deliver corrupt results, and that is the election process. In November there will be an opportunity to throw out many of the traitors who have sold out our country to Israel. If a candidate does not genuinely desire what is truly “America first” he or she must be challenged on that issue and defeated. If they admire Israel so much, perhaps it is time for them to renounce their citizenship in the United States of America and move to the country that they appear to love so much. As Israel is by vote of the Knesset a Jewish state, some of them who are “Christian Zionists” like Mike Johnson and Ted Cruz might find themselves unwelcome even though they have performed yeoman’s work for their masters while pretending to be loyal Americans while in Congress.
If the November election produces enough dissidents in Congress who actually love their country and want to protect its liberties, it just might be possible to get rid of Donald Trump, who is without a doubt owned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Lobby. Trump is to be sure profoundly ignorant and hate filled, a man who seeks revenge on anyone who crosses him and speaks loosely about annihilating whole nations while funding and arming an Israel that is carrying out a genocide in Gaza and on the West Bank of Palestine. He is, beyond that, a man whose finger is on the nuclear trigger and reports suggest that he has raised with his staff on several occasions the “option” of employing such weapons, presumably to destroy Iran and other nations for “greater Israel.” He is a madman whose exercise of power much be much diminished or eliminated.
Getting rid of Trump and his acolytes would be a starter for sure, but the rest of the vermin in government who do Israel’s bidding must also go. The Democrats are nearly as addicted to love of Israel as are the Republicans. To cite only one example, in a recent public appearance, Hillary Clinton stated that the “first and foremost” damage done by Benjamin Netanyahu is “…how seriously he has damaged, first and foremost, Israel. And second, the perception that people not just in the United States, but around the world, have of Israel, and that has to be repaired.” For both Hillary and even many liberal Democrats, the problem isn’t Israel “damaging” Palestinian lives, the problem is Netanyahu damaging Israel’s public image, not that he deliberately robs and kills hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians. She doesn’t care about human suffering or human rights when there is a narrative waiting to be controlled by her best friends the Jews. Note her comment when she was Secretary of State under Barack Obama and had just read an account of the gruesome killing of Moammar Ghaddafi in a coup organized by Washington: “We came, we saw, he died!” she said with a grin and then laughed.
More recently, under “I am a Zionist” Joe Biden Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was himself Jewish, in a similar fashion complained how news coverage of Israeli atrocities circulating online had “dominated the narrative” and were having “a very, very challenging effect on the narrative.” The problem isn’t the slaughter going on or the stripping of American civil liberties, the issue was how to make sure the press would report it without any reproach if Israel was involved. These perceptions explained why Jewish billionaires have been engaging a buying frenzy of media outlets over the past year and a half. Hopefully they and all their supporters will get an unpleasant surprise this November when an anti-Israel vote surfaces to dominate who is and is not elected. Let the Revolution begin!
